I know I will forget if I don't, because there are too many moments to keep track of.
Plus, my kids continually crack me up, so posts like this, help on the frustrating days.

Abbie is a little OCD and Artsy. The letters must be divided by color.
The kids love to role play some of the movies they see.
My mom and Russ took us out to eat at Red Robin.
Asher picked up a menu and said, "Is there anything on this menu that isn't swimming in gravy!" (Emperor's New Groove) the fact that he got the comedic timing spot on, made it even more awesome.
Abbie is obsessed with Harry Pottins (Mary Poppins)
I have a Disney Compilation Soundtrack that we listen to in the car, and Abbie always requests to hear...
Super Taba Wassa Eba Taba Doesis (Supercallafragilisticexpialledocious)
I love hearing her try to sing all of the words, and most especially attempting to say the title.
Asher is obsessed with The Jungle Book.
He tries to jump rope with his arms like King Louie,
Or he will tell you to look into his eyes, then start singing Trust in Me.
He will actually sing almost all of the songs from Jungle Book and no others.
He won't sing at church... he wouldn't even sing Happy Birthday to me last week:)
He will however sing Wanna Be Like You in the car, complete with mouth trumpeting.

The kids love this picture of Matt's pet scorpion Korihor from his LDS Mission in Arizona
The kids love to role play Jungle Book too.
Daddy Shere Khan, Mommy Bagheera, Abbie Mancub, and Asher whatever he wants to be that day.
Asher has requested to be Colonel Hathi the elephant for Halloween (Which is better than the Black Widow he has wanted to be since March)
He will walk up and smack you on the butt and say, "Pull it up Winifred" like Hathi does to the momma elephant's saggy butt. I don't know how I should take that;)
Listening to Abbie sing the gibberish that is Bibbity Bobbity Boo. (She got some Cinderella figurines for going potty)
Abbie is FINALLY Potty Trained!
She was so stubborn, so I told her that I wasn't buying anymore pull ups.
We ran out on on Friday.
My mom was over teaching me how to can peaches, when Abbie told me she had a surprise.
She brought me into the bathroom, and proudly told that she went pee for the first time!
We cheered so loud for her that we scared her.
Asher was so excited for Abbie, that he gave her one of his special stickers and put it on her tummy.
We called my Dad and Janis and sent Matt a text since he was to Athletic Training hours at the football game.
She only had a couple of accidents this weekend... so hopefully she doesn't regress when the baby comes:)

Asher and Abbie built a tent in the hall closet with everything off their beds.
The kids have been into Drawing and doodling lately. It is fun to see what they come up with. Asher drew a thorn tree with markers... but his favorite was when he found a feather.
I told him that we could use my pocket knife and turn it into a feather pen.
He got to choose one color, and dip it into one of my special ink wells.
He drew a fly, then had me draw a spider web with a spider going to eat... gross, but whatever.
He gave it to my Dad and Janis, where it hangs proudly on their fridge.
Asher can almost spell his name:)
They are used to seeing skeletons and such in Matt's text books.
Asher then asked me one day if girls have Ginantulas. While trying not to burst out laughing, and trying not to picture Giant Tarantulas, I told him the proper name then moved on.
One body part we have never talked about but Asher does is his Spleen.
We aren't sure where he heard about it, but he told my mom in the car that his spleen fell out the window. He will hold his side and pretend that it is lost and he is weak. Oh so dramatic.
Abbie's Rocket ship with fire out the back.
After he dug into his cake, the were wiping him down so he could go play in the Splash Pad.
He had his diaper off, and Abbie got all excited shouting, "Hey, Asher has one of those!"
Good Times.

Abbie and her little Alien
Matt is excited that Asher wants to.
Matt played on the Golf Team in high school, and is hoping to get Asher a mini set of clubs so that they can hit a bucket of balls together.
Abbie gets to dance at the high school football half time show this Friday.
She gets to do it with all her "friends who are girls" (None of which she has ever met)
Asher is very worried that he will have to too.
We told him that he isn't a little girl, so he is safe.
He said he just wants to do scouts (which is 3 years away)
Asher's Arrow
Lucy will be two in November, and tries he best to keep up with them.
She will just laugh and giggle.
I few months ago, I taught Lucy how to say, "Oh Man!"
Now when her mom asks her to say Aunt Mandy, she says "Oh Man!"
It's similar enough that it works:)
Asher learned how to draw an X so that he could put an X mark on Abbie's chart for being naughty... so that she would have more X's than him.
Right before Labor Day weekend, the kids were running around the living room.
I had told them to stop, but they didn't and they crashed.
Abbie had a slight bloody nose, and
Asher had knocked one of his front teeth loose.
My kids are tough little buggers, because neither of them cried.
I told Asher that his tooth might come out (though it is nowhere near time)
Like in the Children's Book Parts.
I also told him that the tooth could die and turn grey.
He interpreted that as, "If my tooth falls out I will die?!?"
I then had to explain that he will live even if his tooth comes out.
After an emergency trip to the dentist for an x ray, all is well.
The tooth isn't as loose, and will hopefully stay in for another year.
Asher was exasperated when Abbie wanted to do something that he did not want to do.
He told her that her choosing that made his brain want to die.
Abbie had to go in time out, but she tried to argue that she needed to be with her family,
because they would miss her.
Asher will manipulate Abbie into cleaning up his mess for her.
She gets all excited like it is a privilege, and he just sits back in pure oldest sibling bliss.
Asher said, "Mommy I have something very important to tell you, do you know what the best holiday is ever... it's Halloween!"
A kid after my own heart:)
I need to do these posts a little more often so that they aren't so long, and so I don't forget anything.
If you made it to the end of this post 1,000 points to Gryffindor.

This was great! It made me laugh and smile so hard. Your kids seem precious! Thank you for sharing!
That was just what I needed to hear today! I feel like Reed is growing so fast and I don't want to miss out on anything but there are tons of fun times to look forward to. I love that Asher can get Abbie to clean up after him! Too funny! As the oldest I used to do that! I get 1000 points for Gryffindor ;)
This cracked me up! I love when you blog about your kids! "Asher has one of those!" made me laugh HARD haha. That is too funny! Such creative little kiddos you have! :)
Such cute kiddos!! They say and do darling stuff. And way to go Abbie on becoming potty trained!!
I know what you mean about forgetting it if you don't write it down. My kids crack me up on a daily basis, but I can barely even remember long enough to tell Russ about it when he gets home from school.
I just stumbled over your blog! Its absolutely lovely and very inspiring! Would be really cool if we can follow each other. Please let me know xxx

I love so much of this post! I literally laughed out loud at Asher liking to draw x's for Abbie's chart. They're such adorable little characters. And oh congratulations on the potty training, how exciting!!! So glad to see an update on you and the kiddos.
