{Photography} Five Generations

I have mentioned in the past that I am very lucky to have known all four of my maternal Great Grandparents.
Three of the four have passed away in the last three years.
My Granny had a stroke a few months back, and has since moved in with my Grandparents.
Tomorrow, Granny will be 88 years old!
My kids have grown up knowing Granny, and catching glimpses of our Southern Heritage.

For Christmas, I wanted to give Granny something special.
I asked my SIL Katie to come and take some photos for me, so that I didn't have to worry about the tripod.
She did an excellent job.
She sent me the files, and I edited them to exactly how I wanted them, to look.

I adore how they turned out.
Everybody loved them.
How often can people say that they have Five Generations...
We are fortunate.

Tomorrow, all of the girls in the family are taking Granny out to dinner.
It is a tradition we started last year.
It is so much fun to spend extra time with her, especially on her birthday.
Last year she danced and flirted with the waiters, just to be silly and completely awesome:)

The first two shots are my very favorite.
I have the Whispers one hanging in my living room.
I also love that the backdrop for the hand photos, is an afghan my Grandma crocheted.

 "Brown Eyed Beauties"

Abbie kept playing with the veins in Granny's hand.
Granny's hands are older, so the veins are more prominent.
I found out that my mom used to do the same thing to her Great Grandma when she was little:)

Happy 88th Birthday Granny... We LOVE You!

Wow! What great photos! These will make for some precious memories! So lucky to be able to capture five generations! We are currently at four generations in my family (my grandma will be 92 in this April) and I cherish my daughter (age 6)being able to know her. :)
