{Party} Purple and Yellow Baby Shower + A Cookbook Review

I helped decorate a baby shower for my cousin last Friday to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby girl Brylee.
Soon-to-be Mommy Sage, got so many adorable outfits, lots of family support at the shower, and better yet... NO SHOWER GAMES:)

The color scheme my Aunt Barb chose was Purple and Yellow.
That made it so that I could use some of the same supplies from Mother's Day.
I like the look of the lanterns hanging from the trees so much better than from a metal frame.
My Dad and Janis have such a beautiful backyard.

I made Whoopie Pies using the new cookbook I purchased.
This book is amazing!
I got mine here
There are at least 25 different recipes for the Whoopie Cakes
and more than 35 different recipes for Fillings
The book also has different flavor combinations, to make yummy taste explosions in your mouth like...

The S'more Whoopie
Graham Cracker Whoopie Cake
Marshmallow Creme Filling
Dipped in Chocolate

The Elvis Tribute
Peanut Butter Whoopie Cake
Banana Cream Filling
Edges of the pie dipped in crumbled Bacon

Carrot Cake
Cream Cheese Filling
edges dipped in Candied Walnuts

So many to try

I did Lemon Whoopie Cake with
my Buttercream Frosting

Next time I will do Lemon Curd on one side, Buttercream Frosting on the other side and sandwich them together so that the citrus flavor is more pronounced.

I was able to make, bake, and frost 2 dozen Whoopie Pies in an hour
Fast, Simple, YUMMY!

I totally recommend this book.  I have not been compensated for this post.  These opinions are all my own.  I love the style of the book, the recipes that come out of it, and the price of less than $11.
You can't beat that:)
